    SCCM 2007 RC 1 released

    Microsoft has anounced the release of SCCM 2007 RC1 (Build 5831) available through the Connect site for the chosen ones .
     
    • Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 2 is now supported for site server and site system roles, and is correctly detected as part of setup prerequisite checking. 
    • SQL Server 2005 Service Pack 2 is now required for the SQL database server role. 
    • Windows Server Update Services 3.0 RTM is now required for the Software Update Point site system role.

    SMS 2003 SP3 International Client Packs available

    The SMS team has released the International Client Packs (ICP1 + ICP2) for SMS 2003 Service Pack 3 environments. The ICP is there to offer an interface for the SMS client in the same language as the client OS. ICP 1 contains the client in default English or German, Spanish, French and Japanese. The larger ICP 2 contains other supported languages including the earlier mentioned.
     
    ICP's are an add-on to the original Service Pack 3, so this is not a 'wrap-up'.
